In a valiant display of courage and patriotism, Naik (Gnr) Dilwar Khan, a 28-year-old soldier from Himachal Pradesh, laid down his life in a fierce encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday morning. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police had launched a joint anti-terrorist operation in the Lolab area of Kupwara a few days ago, following specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the region.
The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps of the Indian Army paid tribute to the fallen soldier, saying, “One terrorist has been eliminated, and we have lost a brave soldier in the line of duty.
