On Feb 26, the terrorists fired upon an innocent Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma. He was working as an armed guard in the local Bank Branch in his village, in Achan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A sober and pleasant person Sanjay Sharma was a strong believer of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood. It was second such victim in the area in past 30 years when the mass killings of Kashmiri Pandits took place. The last killing of a Kashmiri Pandit, Janki Nath, took place at the hands of terrorists in 1990. However, the family of Sharma took a bold decision to stay back, unlike hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits who along with their families the valley and settled in other parts of the country. This belief was shattered badly in the broad day light with the killing of a stringent believer of the communal harmony. KRF condemns the attack in strongest terms.

Srinagar, April 07, terrorists target a non-local driver in the Yader area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district counting the third attack in first week of April. The victim was identified as Sonu Sharma, son of Banarasi Sharma, a resident of Pathankot. He received gunshots after which he was immediately rushed to District Hospital Pulwama where he is undergoing treatment. March 09, violence strewn along with the killing of a people’s representative — Sarpanch, Sameer Ahmad Bhat in Srinagar’s Khanmoh. Meanwhile, with today’s incident, the terror score tolls up. And a message for more incidents seem to find a place.
The loss of humans is unsavoury in Naya Kashmir, moreover, alert forces have tightened the grip over module spreading crime. The incident is quite reprehensible, KRF condemns the killing in the first place.

On the evening of March 02, in a deplorable act terrorists indiscriminately fired upon Mohammad Yaqoob Dar, son of Ghulam. He was a resident of Sundoo, Kulgam. Though the victim was immediately shifted to a hospital, doctors declared him brought dead.
This marks the second incident of soft targets- a selective killing of the innocent Kashmiris to perpetuate the terrorism that had witnessed a lull, steady peace in recent past months. This is a heinous crime concerning human rights violations, which are being profaned from time to time by Pakistan backed agencies. KRF highly condemns the loss of life and violation of civil liberty.

The attack was carried out while sub-inspector Firdous Sheikh finished his prayers and he stepped out of the local mosque. In the attack, he received bullet injuries in his neck.
Firous Ahmad is a resident of Dhobi Mohalla, Batamaloo. This is a complete violation of human rights, where one person is attacked for his honesty to sustain the ecosystem of terror. It further puts a curb on the exercise of religious freedom. Many such incidents have been the part of Kashmir’s history. On Feb 11, in a deplorable attack carried out by terrorists, a policeman was killed and four persons including three CRPF troopers were injured. The grenade was hurled towards security personnel at the Nishatshat Park area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

In yet another attack on the Security forces personnel from Kashmir, Inspector Parvez Ahmed Dar of the the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was fired at and injured by militants near his residence at Kanipora under Nowgam police station in the city. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Inspector Parvez was going for offering his Maghrib prayers, he was not carrying any weapon and was no threat to anyone, when he was shot in the back, which shows the cowardice of the attackers.

The desperation of the militants from Pak supported “Shaheed Anas Squad” of the TRF is visible from the fact that, now they are targetting unarmed security personnel and civilians. What is the end their actions are going to lead to is something we need to delve upon.

If this attack is for the freedom of Kashmir, or save kashmiris , how does killing an unarmed police perosnal going to help the perpetrators in achieving this ultimate agenda.

It is high time we should realise that these kind of attacks are only an act of desperation and we should stop playing at the hands of propoganda machinery of Pakistan that is working 24/7 to portray that poor kashmiris are in need of salvation.

Inspector Parvez was a god fearing man, dedicated  to his family, job and lost his life in service to the community. The senseless killing has left the family, his wife and two young children a 13 years old daughter and 10 years old son, inconsolable and in deep grief.
