Jammu, April 12, 2025: Subedar Kuldeep Chand of the 9 Punjab Regiment, a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army, made the ultimate sacrifice while leading a counter-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keri Battal area of Sunderbani. The operation, conducted on the night of April 11, successfully foiled an infiltration attempt by heavily armed terrorists from across the border.
Subedar Kuldeep Chand sustained critical injuries during the fierce exchange of fire while gallantly leading his team to thwart the infiltration.
