In a significant operation, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in Jammu’s Nowshehra sector, killing two terrorists and recovering a large quantity of war-like stores.
According to a statement by the army’s White Knight Corps, the operation was launched on the intervening night of September 8-9, 2024, based on inputs from intelligence agencies and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The army said that the operation was conducted in the general area of Lam, Nowshera, and resulted in the neutralization of two terrorists. A large quantity of war-like stores, including two AK-47 rifles and one pistol, were recovered from the site.
The search operation is still in progress, the army added.
