On 17 Oct, in Kulgam two non-locals were killed and another injured at Wanpoh. The killed were identified as Raja Reshi Dev and Joginder Reshi Dev from Bihar, while injured Chun Chun Reshi Das was admitted to GMC Anantnag, where his situation is stated stable.
The valley has been clouded with grief and dismay. Day after day, the killings are taking a toll, due to which an atmosphere of gun culture and fear culture are taking boom. From the killing of teachers to non-local labourers, the terrorists are staking the s of the poor from Kashmir to other states. As such, the culture being propagated is creating suspicion upon taking an outing out from home. It seems like the situation is heading to 90’s again when the supremacy of guns disgruntled the social fabric of society and communal tensions were on rise, the time when the migration of Pandits and Sikhs was witnessed. The gruesome murder of poor vendors amounts to mere barbarism and utter frustration of the terrorist groups. The terrorists are turning the valley into a blood painted state, where no guarantee of the right to life is exercised. Scrape in human rights has left the valley crippled, many of these attacks have already damaged the flow of tourists and hampered the investors from entering into the valley. These human rights violations are new normal from Pak sponsorship of terrorism. KRF strongly denounces the barbaric attack on non-local labourers who lost their lives.
